Fun in Fruita is a festive event!

Enjoying your time in Fruita is more than a good time; it's a GREAT EVENT when you come to our truely unique festivals.

We celebrate fun with a variety of classic and unique events from the Hometown Christmas and the Fruita Fall Fest, to the redrock classic Fat Tire Festival and the unusual, bizarre, and very humorous "Mike the Headless Chicken" Festival. Every year the fun just grows at these fun events. We have lots of sunshine and friendly smiles awaiting you!

April 24 - 27, 2008 Celebrating its 12th Anniversary with a week of racing, incredible spring riding, good friends - new and old, friendly guides, an impressive product expo, the "Spirit of the Rockies" series Vegetarian Cross Country Race, live music, and a big party, are a great way to start off the season.

Enjoy – eating contest, chicken receipe contest, a car show, great music and "chicken dance" contest, more chicken, the 5K “run like a headless chicken”, chicken games which includes "chicken bingo", "Mike's" market (probably the only place in the world you can get chicken noodle soap)…GREAT FAMILY FUN!

Fireworks July 3, 2008 Fireworks diplay at Snooks Bottom.
Dinosaur Day July 26, 2008 Monstrous Good Fun! A fun family event at Fruita's Dinosaur Journey Museum with the 5K Pteranodon Ptrot, T-Rex golf tournament, CeRaftasuarus Raft Race, and "build your own dinosuar raft" race on the Colorado River.

Fred & Barney would be proud, and who knows, they might just be in the crowd!

September 25 - 28, 2008 Originally a harvest festival beginning in 1910. It's now a bluegrass venue at Circle Park has been a main attraction for many years. Today this is the BIG One in Fruita.

There is much to do and see. With a newly added Civic Center Pavilion stage, additional live music can be enjoyed which features a variety of high quality music, from country, to blues and funk.

A BIG Fruita event with a parade, carnival rides, and over 150 vendors of every description, including food, clothing, arts and handcrafts, and the unusual.

An award winning festival, (Best of the West Award, for Best Local Festival of Event, years 2000 & 2002). The BOW awards are based upon a Daily Sentinel readership survey, and presented by the Daily Sentinel.
